As an FAA-certified airman, Todd gets his airplane from Point A to Point B by implementing a flight plan. Similarly, when assisting clients, he uses his Retirement Flight Plan process to help them proceed confidently through financial turbulence and reach their destination safely and on time.
Todd began his career in the financial services industry more than 30 years ago as a result of a personal experience that significantly impacted his family. His father, Bill, was a hard-working telephone repairman with a good job and a pension. Like most of his co-workers, when Bill retired, he asked for the most amount of money out of his pension, choosing a life-only payout option.
He didn’t take into account his poor health or the fact that his wife was five years younger and healthier. When money got tight, he let his life insurance policy lapse, and a few years later, a heart attack rendered him uninsurable. Todd’s mother was left without any life insurance proceeds or pension income when Bill died. She and the family began to experience firsthand the hardships the lack of planning created.
Todd’s goal ever since has been to help people create solid financial and retirement plans and avoid the pitfalls his parents experienced. He’s built one of Indiana’s premier insurance and financial advisory firms helping retirees, pre-retirees and business owners create and grow their wealth, protect and preserve their life savings, and plan for the distribution of their life savings in the most tax-efficient manner. By challenging traditional financial thinking, Todd helps clients see possibilities they might not have considered before.
Todd has been a featured contributor for Fox Business News, CNN Money and Fortune.com and is a nationally sought-after speaker and frequent lecturer for educational institutions. He is a lifetime Court of the Table qualifier with the Million Dollar Round Table, placing him among the top professionals in the global life insurance and financial services industry. He is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and IRA rollover and distribution specialist. Todd also is a member of the National Ethics Bureau and the WealthCounsel Advisors Forum.
Todd and his family live in Valparaiso, Indiana.
